Dactivator neck, in the bridge?

anyone have any comments on how this would work? i know allot of people swap the emg neck and bridges around, i'm curious about this. there's a local guy with one for sale for a decent price and i was thinking about trying it out

when i was speaking to dimarzio tech via email, i asked them which of the 7 string pickups available would be the least muddy one... the guy said the d activator neck...

so yeah... it´s a pickup with lots of clear high end, probably somewhat similar to a 707... even though i´ve never tried any of the pickups, so i have no idea :P

The EQ looks like the closest thing to the SD full shred I've ever seen, lol.

so it might be worth a try then is the output high enough for a bridge though?

Funny you mention, I was actually gonna install a Dactivator Neck pickup in the bridge to experiment. I dont have the actual neck for the guitar yet (waiting on CWoods), so it may be a while before I can report how it sounds.

Dimarzio says it's as hot as the Blaze Bridge, probably sounds a fuckton better too.

i was thinking of putting an evo neck and dactivator bridge in my new carvin i'm getting.

the dactivator sounds like a really cool pickup. i can't wait to try it out.

I'm typing this on my knees with my butt in the air. -Drew

I had a D Activator in the Neck of my old RG7620 for a while, way back in January or something. It actually sounded very clear and I think I liked it a little more than the DA bridge.
