That squack noise is what I had before i brought the AN7 up to the strings.

I put one in my RG1527 in neck position last week and I love it, makes a HUGE difference to the tone and I LOVE IT!!! Great chunky distortion sound thats good for smooth leads, and it cleans up beautifully too. Highly recommended
