11-50 is hardly heavy for E, let alone Eb - could you try blocking the trem, tuning that 60 up to C# or so, and then seeing if the problem is still there?

GHS? Yea I had problems with them. I bought a set of 10's then added a GHS 56 for my b.... Every time I'd play an open B the would immediately go sharp. It was total crap. Switched back to DR's no problems now... GHS is not for me at all.

I think the gauge is a problem - that 56 isn't a tight string for the B (have you read Mind Riot's string tension guide?) so it's not really a GHS problem as much as a gauge problem. DR strings have unusual tensions sometimes so that may have made the problem seem less apparent but a 10-46+56 string set just doesn't seem like a very good idea if you're expecting consistent performance.

I would say post a clip if it happens again. And geez dudes, 11s for Eb? Its all fine and dandy but not matter how hard you play a 60, it shouldn't go noticeable/massively out of tune. There is still enough tension to keep it oscillating in an elyptical manner.

If it buzzes when it does this, then you might have an action problem, and during the oscillation of a the string its fretting itself higher up, like a very fast hammer/pull. Being as you are looking at about 60-70% of the string tension you are normally dealing with, it may be an issue where your light touch is still a jack hammer, causing it to putmore tension on the string depending on your fret size. Again man, clips if it persists.

Like I said earlier that 60 should have about as much tension as an E-tuned 46, and it doesn't take much to knock those out.

Well, you have a monster pick attack that would do nothing but break strings/wear them down. And so many players play on string of that gauge/tension that tour/gig regularly, so it not a string issue as much as it is a personal preference issue.

I'll just stop bitching until I get my regular gauges on there. If it still happens I'll come back and try to figure it out.
