Maybe it's not exactly what are you are looking for but Morley has an interesting pedal coming out. It's called FX Blender. I read a review in a German Guitar magazine and they were pretty amazed by it. And it's not expensive! Have a look:

I think 7SoH is looking for more of a "sample-and-hold" kind of looping pedal, not an effects loop pedal.
I've seen some amazing stuff done with the Boomerang, but the Boss units also look really interesting, and they've got a few different ones, so you can choose the one that fits your needs. I've also seen guys do this kind of stuff with a laptop running Ableton Live and using a generic MIDI controller to control it. |

The Radial Loopbone is an awesome little effects loop switcher, it can change your amp channel as well!

your right darren, but thanks for the suggestion martin, the boss pedals looked pretty good, i saw there is a "loop station" with 2 pedals on it and then just the standard boss box one, i dont really need anything fancy, i Think the boss single unit would do me, but i'm just not sure how it would work, it said it can record multipul loops but with just one foot switch, i could see how you stop and start but i'm not sure how you would play it back? dont know if its very user friendly basically

Again, the LoopBone is an effects loop switcher (and a good one... nice Canadian company, too!) not a phrase looper.
Perhaps the title of this thread needs to be changed to "Good phrase loop pedals" to avoid continued confusion. |

isnt that a dl4? i'm lookin for some serious time, i'm pretty sure its just delay, but i might be wrong, and yea darren, thats probably what i should have named it, i think i'm gonna grab a new boss rc-20xl, on the boss web site they have demos of all the loop pedals, the rc-2 looks great and does all the same stuff as the rc-20xl, but the 20xl has 2 foot pedals one of which does a fade out instead of an abrupt stop, i think it would be a smoother more refined sound, also it has a cool reverse feature, the rc-2 looked great too, but its only 75 bucks less and you cant use all the stored memory with out the optional 5u pedal they sell, in the demo the dude had a 2 switch add on pedal attached to the 20xl, but it wouldnt be that necessary, im not so much wanting to store preset loops, more on the fly stuff , but i like the fade out option so i'm gonna try a 20xl

maybe not, i'v been reading the harmony central reviews and time and time again they keep saying it sucks your tone and there is a clicking noise when you start/stop a loop, hmm
