I agree about the Warpigs.
I've got the regular Alnico version in a 6 of mine and they're total beasts!!!!
A lot of the really high powered pickpus i've tried before have been real noisy too but these BKP's aren't at all.Definately the best pickup i've ever owned or even tried.
The bass on these is massive but isn't at all flabby or muddy but nice and punchy and tight. It's a nicely balanced pickup through all the frequencies though.
Even with them being as powerful as they are you can still get a decent clean out of them too.

Congrats on your purchase xwmucradiox
I'm sure you'll love them.
I haven't tried the Nailbomb but i hear good things about them (as with all of the BKP models).

I decided on the nailbomb because I wanted something that wasn't extreme output. Doug at Blackmachine recommended the Nailboms at one point too so I went with them although the warpigs look super cool.

All your shred are belong to us.

You do know you could have had Nailbombs in warpig cases if you wanted? I'm sure Tim wouldn't have had a problem doing that.

You've got no choice with the BKP 7 string pickups, cover wise that is.
It's plain black open-coil bobbins or nothing, but then it's the way these things sound that's the reason to get them. The appearance is just a bonus with the 6's.
I think you can ask for different pole-pieces (slugs,cap-head hex or regular over-sized hex bolts).
Bot sure if you can have that option on all of the different 7's but i know you definitely can with the Warpigs.

The duncans I am replacing are standard slug and flathead construction. They look fine in this guitar and I think the warpig screws would break up the smooth lines of the the top. I just want these pickups though.

Sorry I knew that, I was under the deluded impression they weren't for a 7 - I thought were for an Ibanez S for whatever reason.

Sorry guys!
