![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | as you can see in my avatar, i have the stock pups in my s7420 still, they look nice and i have a s7320 and a 007 elite both emg loaded, i figured that i'd leave the passives in the 7420 for a while cuz it is nice to have a few options, the stocks in my 7420 have awesome highs and mids, but the low is fuzzy muddy and not crunchy, so i've been using it to record solos, if you have multipul 7's you should get a few different setups, also, one thing i totally forgot to mention about actives, the secret of it is , not what sounds you make, but what sounds you dont make, they pick up everything so clearly that if you have sloppy playing, it will be exposed immediatly, passives i feel the fuzzyness can hide some sloppy playing imo |

You can use a BQS if you like, but I'd recommend a Control over a System, asRay | ||

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | The one I mentioned, Ceramic Warpigs (like its name says it's a ceramic loaded variant of their Warpigs pickups) it is said to totaly blast a 18v moded EMG81. BKP do all their pickups as 7 string on request for no additional charge if I remember, just contact them via their website, Tim the owner is a nice guy (and he plays in Iced Earth too hehe) |
