Interested in Alnico 8 magnets for 7-string humbuckers?

anyone interested in Alnico 8 magnets for 7-string humbuckers? the Alnico 8s are brighter with tighter bass, compared to ceramics or Alnico 5s--check out this thread page. they may be a really good repalcement magnet for high-output pickups.

i can get these in the 7-string dimensions for $12 each + shipping. we would need to get 20, and we have 8-10 requests so far. anyone else interested? and how many. you can PM me rather than post.

update: we have people interested in about 10 of these Alnico 8 magnets total.

GWD - 1
technomancer - 6
noodles - 1
darren - 1
me - 2 or 3

but we will need requests for ~8 more, or we can't put in the order. if anyone else is interested in these magnets, please let me know within the next week. thanks.

Oh well. I don't think enough people have experience with Alnico 8 to make a commitment. Thanks for all your effort putting these orders together though, Scott.

no problem! yeah, and $12 was too much of a commitment for such an unknown thing.

but there will be some extra Alnico 5s from that order, if anyone is interested. i will post more about that once those show up.

Bummer... I guess it's a good thing I got one of the shorter ones from ebay... I'll be putting it in the bridge PAF7 of a custom guitar (if I ever get the body...)
