![]() ![]() | Super Distortion 7. Is there anything that's similar to a Super Distortion but for a 7 string? I'm thinking about sending my specs to Searcy Stringworks and have him make me up a 7 pickup that's just like it. I just want to know if there is anything out there already that I'm missing besides the usual Blaze, D-Sonic, Evo etc.... Passive and not over a $100. Does it exist? |

![]() ![]() | I totally couldn't do the Duncan Distortion in my 6 string RG. Initially it was awesome, good harmonics, no mud etc. But there was this little high end sparkle that I couldn't dial out. The more I tried to cut my EQ the worse it got. Even though I was cutting out high end I just couldn't get rid of that top end sparkle/twang. Still not as bad as a Pearly Gates, THAT thing is almost useless cause it's so over the top! But I really do like the Super Distortion's characteristics. I can dial more bass or less highs or whatever and still have good mids. Duncan's Custom Custom comes to mind, except more defined. How much are D-Activator's going for? |
