The X2N7 is very metal. So far, I've hear alot of great things about D-Activators, but I haven't tried them myself. Some other good options are Blaze necks in the bridge, EVO7, and D Sonic7.

I am the mask you wear.

Howdy fellow Canuck and welcome

For thrash or any fast choppy metal you need it uber-tight. The D-Sonic7 or the Evo7 would be the good choices from Dimarzio (I too haven't tried the Dactivator). Ultimately though (I also play the same stuff), the Lundgren M7 is the tightest and best overall sound going IMO, but expensive.

Please be kind to snakes. They can't help it.
