Ceramic Warpig vs Lundgren M7

I... have... MONEY!

So, I have decided to upgrade my recently-purchased RG7321 with new pickups - actually, just one pickup, I'm not rich

What I'm looking for, ideally, is someone that has played both of these pickups and lived to talk about it. I've been in contact with Tim from Bare Knuckle, and he reckons it's no problem to make a 7string Warpig with a ceramic core, which according to him, would decimate ALL. Then again, Meshuggah (and Bulb - he be da MAN ) swear by the M7, as do many others. So, my dilemma - which to go for? I think the Warpig will cost me quite a bit less, which, I admit, is a STRONG point in it's favour. And, apparently, it is AWESOME but so's the M7. Choices, choices....

So, opinions? Which one would you guys go for?

I wouldn't get ceramic, but that's just me.

I will say that Warpigs are an amazing pickup. My friend has them in his Jackson 6er and they sound mean as hell

Yeah, I'm leaning towards the Warpig. From what I've read, they are both FANTASTIC pickups, both hot as hell with incredible tone and dynamics. And the Warpig is quite a bit cheaper, so yeah, Warpig it is!

Man. Going straight from the stock RG7321 bridge pu to a Warpig... that should be FUN Cannot WAIT!

I haven't played the M7 (want to though ) but the warpig is truly awesome. Crushig highs, tight lows, gut wrenching mids. Its cheaper than the lundgren and sounds killer through just about anything.

Obviously as a user Im biased toward the M7 - which is amazing - but I'd love to try a Warpig sometime soon. I hear so many good things about them as well.

I haven't played either pickup, but I've heard clips, and aren't these pickups like night and day different? The Warpig IMO has like this sick midrangey character where the M7 seems to be more of a high clarity type flavor. I'm assuming Ceramic in the 'Pig will brighten it slightly, but still I'm wondering if the real question here should be, do I want a pear or a cheaper apple?

Wish I could be more help...

Damn, psyphre, now you've got me wondering. Well, I dunno, I'd assumed that they were fairly similar sounding, in that you could get them to sound alot like each other with a bit of judicious EQ-tweaking. Both ceramic, both hot as hell.

Still, I'm rooting for the Warpig, I reckon that a more mid-rangey tone is what I'm looking for, anyway. Death metal is all about the mids, and I'm quite sick of the standard bass/no mid/icepick-treble tone that I've been playing with.

Guys, thanks for the opinions! When I get the pickup (still got to order it, it'll be a while) I'll see about posting some clips, maybe A/B it with the stock 7321 bridge PU, imagine the comedy value! Cheers!

i actually cannot compare those pikcups because all i know about BK pups is from the unanimously glowing reviews they get (even with the dick shrinking price tag on them!!)
i wanted to know what the djentiest BK pickup was, the warpig or the nailbomb? or is it something else altogether, because i think i will pick one up eventually and stick it in one of my 6ers...
