![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I only just realised that this new S7 is the first Ibanez to have the 'swoosh' back on the headstock for ages.(oh! Hold on!!! They never stopped putting it on the 7321 did they.D'oh!) I'm a fan of the swoosh and was dissapointed when they stopped putting it on the RG's. '7 Strings Of Hate'! I wouldn't go with the 'Universe' logo on your RG.That's the 7 string equivalent of putting a 'Jem' script on your RG550. Just go with the 'Ibanez' and the 'swoosh' (imo). |

When it's lined up where you want it to be, just press it down gently and use a clean, dry cloth to gently squeeze out the water under it. That's how they fit vinyl decals to cars. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | So, um, bumpola for a question or two. The logo on my 88 750 has finally bought the farm, I have a new logo for it. How do I spray over it to make it stay? What type of paint, how much, prep work, etc? The last time I painted something, it wasn't what I'd call a success, and I'd rather not fuck up my #1. |

![]() ![]() ![]() | You could probably just clear over it without painting if the original logo is above the surface of the original clear. If not, you can follow the steps on Project Guitar. For a list of supplies, you could try this: http://www.paintyourownguitar.com/gw1.html (You won't use all of them obviously, that list is for refinishing a whole guitar) I still haven't put mine on yet, as I'm trying to wear down my strings (which is taking a long time as I've been too busy to play a lot lately and I'm still primarily a 6-string player) and get new locking tuners in the process. When I get it done I'll definately have some sort of picstory up. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Heh, the original logo is all but gone. just completely rubbed off, I had some lighter fluid on a cloth and didn't know it, bye bye logo. I dunno if I should hit the headstock with like 2000 grit to clean it up fist or not, there are a lot of scratches. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Chris mentioned that gaffa tape can remove the logo's on old RG's too. Just stick it down and peel it off to remove what's left of the original. If you're clearing anyway, I'd say it's a good idea to hit it with 2000 grit or a Scotchbrite pad first to roughen the finish a liitle for the new clear to key to. |
