Resistor question

i am modding my gcb-95 wah-wah pedal,
for one of the mods it calls for a 68K resistor, but at my local radioshack all i can find is 68 ohm, it there a difference between K and ohm?

Yes.

68 K is 68000 Ohm.

A "k" is most likely a "kiloOhm" or 1000 ohms. So a 68k resistor is 1000x different than a 68 Ohm resistor.

ok, thanks, well i might use an 100k for the mod im doing. i have heard of people using it.

im doing the vocal mod, you replace the 33k resistor with a 56k or 68k.

look at this website, under modding the wah circuit itself, it has a pic and info on the vocal mod.

i did that mod, it's pretty cool. i also did the "Hendrix" mod, with the swapping of a single capacitor.

what size resistor did you use for the vocal mod, im also doing the mid-boost mod.

oh... hmm... maybe it was the mid-boost that i did

i followed a website... not sure what value exactly i used.

ok, well the vocal mod makes the wah sounds less like "wah" and more like "woh".
the mid-boost kind of evens out the sound making the wah sound more clear.

I have a radical idea. The door swings both ways, we could reverse the particle flow through the gate. We'll cross the streams.
