Is it worth the $99? How much did it help? Did it change your tone? How noisy is it? Also, I saw that it has Input/Output A and B. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/produ...zer?sku=180910 Does this mean two different rigs can be plugged into it? Thanks.

I think I put this in the wrong section.

I'd say it's a good deal for $99.

7StringofAblicK-This is my footswitch. it changes channels on my amp - just like on a television, but I only have four channels.

I just came here from your other post. If you get a Sonic Maximizer, you'd be better off getting a Sonic Stomp. It has the updated technology of the 482i and 882i, and if you don't have a rack, the pedal size is probably easier to work with anyway. Like I said in the other thread, though, I'm not sure how well a Sonic Maximizer will work when placed before the gain stage.

I borrowed my friends sonic stomp for a day to try out into my Vox, and it turned out I didnt really like it. I tried it up front and in the fx loop, and it just seemed to suck away that bit of tube warmth and added digital fuzziness. I really depends on your rig, it works with some amps, but not all of them.

I have had a 462 in my rack for quite some time now.

I like it. It works well to help "definition" on more saturated patches (I use a Roland GP-100 pre-amp and a MESA 20/20.....BBE is in the GP's loop). I find I don't use it on the more vintage patches because it tends to make them sound too clinical and you lose that vintage vibe.

Works great on some of the clean patches with more processing on them as well. Again though, it's on a patch by patch basis.

As for noise......I've never found that it introduces any noise. But I have found that the bypass isn't a true by pass. Pressing the bypass button and taking it right out of the loop makes a BIG difference on my 462.

Ok. Thanks guys. I think I'll have to try out a Sonic Stomp on my next trip to GC.
