Schecter pick ups to emg's

hey evryone not to long back i got a schecter omen 7 and i dont like the pickups as much as i use to i was thinking of replacing them with emg's possibly 707s altho is it a straight foraward replacement or do i have to re-wire it could someone please give me some advice

you have to rewire and replace all existing electronics, as the stock pickups are passive while the emgs are active. you'll also have to route the pickup cavity.

you may have to route a battery cavity if you cant squeez it in

As the others have said, you'll need to route to fit the EMG's and fit 25k pots, but these come with the EMG's anyway. Maybe a swap to different passive pickups would be easier? Maybe a Seymore Duncan JB/Jazz set, Dimarzio's or as you're in the UK Bare Knuckle are well worth looking at.

Incidentally, where in the UK are you?
