Electronics wire - Which one on where to get it?

Hello everyone.

About electronics wire:
Which gauge do you use?
Where can I get some online?
I would always use shielded wire, what do you use?

20-22 gauge wire will do it. Never heard of metric 'gauge' before though... , so 0.9-0.7mm diameter wire will do ya. My guitars are currently wired with unshielded wire, for no reason other than it was around. I have no noise issues and well shielded cavities instead.

Yeah awg (American Wire Gauge) is an industry standard as far as I'm aware (in the uk, where we cant decide whether we're metric or imperial, so we dabble in both) I do occasionally see the size in mm on some reels. Here's a conversion table if you need it AWG to square mm Wire Gauge Conversion

Yep you're right, over here people only know the diameter size in mm though.
I've asked for a 26 awg sized wire in a shop and the shopkeeper looked at me as if I was asking for 5g of cocaine... def. never again.

I have a good store of wire which I have salvaged from dead computers. The stuff that comes out of the PSU and connects drives etc to the mobo (red, yellow, black, white - forget the name of that connector though) is good for most things and there is usually some finer stuff in there too, which is good for insides of pedals and other fiddly things.
