RG1527 Selector Switch Prob.

My pickup selector switch has developed a bit of slop in it. (perp to direction it actuates in) Anyhow as I am playing my guitar just kinda fades to nothing like I had hit the volume, but much faster. Is there a way to tighten the switch up? Will a shot of cleaner / lube fix it? Or should I just shell out the $15 and get a new one. Has this been a problem for anyone else? I looked up the part numbers and the universe has a different switch (and a single coil) but I was wondering if the switch is available in a better grade. Stew mac mega switch model p?

Thanks for your input I know Ive got a lot of questions there, but when I get back from Texas I want to have a game plan for getting it fixed right.

Well I'm going by the music shop tomorrow after work, and am just going to buy a new one. I don't know how long it will take to get it in, but it will be better than it was. Ibanez has it retailing at just over $9

FYI, the 5-way switch used in Ibanez two-humbucker guitars is a special switch. it is not the same as the Fender-style 5-way that every music store in the world carries. so you'll need to get the Ibanez replacement, or some other special 5-way switch that works with two humbuckers [like a P model Schaller Megaswitch].
