7 String MIDI Pickup

Does anyone know if a 7 string MIDI pickup exists?

Nope. I don't think so.

As far as I've gathered the best bet is using 7 individual MIDI piezo saddles, like the RMC system or the Graphtech Ghost. There's some trickery involved in routing the saddles for use with MIDI and Roland stuff, too.

The tricky bit, I gather, is most guitar midi interfaces can only accept six seperate signals at the same time. So, the jury's kind of split between routing your low B and low E (or high B and high E) signal together since they're most likely playing complimentary parts, or your low B and high E since you rarely will use both together.
