 | Idiot question re: X2N-7 Well, I just (finally!) got my S back from the local tech, with a "newly" installed X2N-7, and I must admit, it doesn't sound quite right. It sounds a bit too twangy, especially in the lower registers. Clean, it sounds like it's parallel wired to my ears, but is this just a tonal characteristic of the pickup? Help me out here :S Oh, and another question. Is it the black, or the red wire that is supposed to be grounded? THe black is grounded in mine. Last edited by Loomer; 11-29-2006 at 11:24 AM. | Ok, well then *should* be wired correctly, I guess. It just sounds an awful lot like it's parallel wired. Oh, and the green wire seems to on the switch, not grounded. Shit this is confusing. |

| Dude, you should try to rewire it yourself, you'll get it done sooner, don't have to leave your house, and get the satisfaction of having done it yourself. If he soldered the black and white (or taped or whatever) them togehter, all you gotta do is flip the red and the green wires and call it a day. |
