Started my "Pimp Yo Guitar" project

I'm taking the MF-207 that I bought off Shannon when I first started posting here, and I'm pimping it out baby!!

Well, kinda. I totally disassembled the body last night. Took just about everything off of it. The paint's been cracked on the back and shit since I got it. And I've always had an idea of what I wanna do to it.

I'm going to Rhino Linings the body to give it a textured finish like the JEM7DBK. I think that gothic body shape with a texture would look as Hopefully it'll come out looking somewhat like this:

I've already polished the frets on the neck, and I'm going to dye it black as well. Should be kick ass if it comes out good. If not, Ebay.

Metal... Nuff Said!!

LOL!

I'll keep the monitors for my rack (Yes, I have plans for a pull-out, fold down monitor for my rack - but that'll have to wait until after I finish school)

Yep. Spray on. My brother has it in the bed of his truck. It's kick ass stuff. Real rubbery feel. I asked a shop about a year ago about a price, and he said about $50 to do it. So I'ma contact them this week.

That's a fuckin' great idea man - let me know how it works out - I've always wanted to do the same to my RG550.

Cool idea, Rog! I've always liked the DBKs, that finish is slick. That's going to look awesome, keep us posted.

This looks cool. My only concern with it would be that the stuff is kind of rubbery and might kill sustain. On the up side you'd never need to worry about dinging your guitar body again

Hehehe... with the amount of gain I run, sustain ain't going to be an issue. Actually, the way the principle works, it might just increase the sustain since it'll add mass to the guitar.

I'd be more worried about it sapping highs. I'll be curious to know what it sounds like when he is done.
