I'm telling you, I did the same thing. I even called him 2x telling him my concerns. He ended up sending me on that didn't fit after "assuring" me it would.
I went 4 rounds with him. Then months later, I went another 2 rounds with him with the block I got for my JS-100 (Lo TRS II) He has so many orders/day that he tends to just throw answers out there. I'm just trying to save you some inevitable grief. I highly...HIGHLY...recommend packaging your tremolo well and sending it to him. It'll save you time and money. Take this from a guy that's been through it many times with Adam Reiver. Also, I'm NOT knocking the guy (Adam Reiver). He's great and very willing to help. He just tends to brush you off and not listen to your concerns (which caused a loss of time and money for me), which I can understand when you do hundreds of these a day. I really just want to save you some grief that I went through. Check my thread out: Custom Big Brass Block install on Ibanez S7420FM by Floyd Upgrades You'll notice there are two different brass blocks, though I didn't note it. Right decided to go for it wanted to put some new pickups in the guitar so am going to tackle the trem as well.
Bought a peice of brass and am hopefully going to get a block made. also removed the offending nut looks like a OFR will fit but will wait to confirm this as I have a schaller arm assy on order. |

![]() How'd you remove the nut??? (more detail, the better for me) Can you PLEASE take a measurement of how wide the hole is in the base plate (IE. where the nut used to cover). I WOULD BE VERY grateful. Also, can you upload some pictures of what the base plate looks like without the nut on it? EDIT: Here's the Schaeller Arm Holder replacements' measurements (two sizes):

very carefully...LOL
took a needle file in a triangle shape and gently filed through so there was a \/ all the way top and bottom and then took a pair of piers and very carefully squeezed it together. |
