Lute sounds

Hi,
Is there an effects pedal that sounds like a Lute? Because I need the sound for my new gothic, Prog-metal band.

Danelectro make a sitar emulator - thats the closest thing you'll get to it i would venture. Alternatively, just learn to play like i did! Just tune it like a guitar and go

what type of Lute do you have?

It's not a lute per se, it is a Turkish Oud. It is an interesting beast to say the least. Its a bugger to play sitting down due to its bowl back, but has a nice "eastern" sound.

the Danelectro-Swami is a terrible pedal it is so hard to control and it hiss's like a champ you would be better off purchaseing two pitchshirfter pedals and a Delay pedal and exsperiment with the Pitch/delay/pitch inline setup till you get a nice tone after tone delay like a Oud or sitar!

What about tuning a classical guitar EADF#BE, slapping a capo on it, and plucking near the bridge? Add a little delay, and you should be pretty close...
