Capacitor/condenser questions

Hey!

First of all, I am talking of the green little things, soldered to the tone poti. I am not sure which expression is correct, sorry.

I am trying to figure out which ones to use. DO you have any sensible suggestions?
Setup: (3 of them needed)
1. 8string Humbucker -> 1000K Vol -> 500K Tone
2. 8string Singlecoil -> 1000K Vol -> 500K Tone
3. 2x 6string singlecoil -> 250K Vol -> 250K Tone
singlecoils are in line...

Its a funny guitar setup with a total of 20 strings I will post it when I am done, which will be around end of november.

cheers

Some of the best for guitar use are Sprague Orange Drop.

Current rig : Agile Intrepid Pro with Lace Aluma Deathbar pickup -> Eleven Rack + TC G-Major -> ESI Near 5 Experience
My string tension calculator STC - supports most D'addarrio and Circle K Strings

thanks for your reply! So how "strong" should they be? What difference does the 0.022uF or 0.470uF make?

It'll make a difference in how much treble they roll off. .047uf will take off more top end than .022. Typically you would use .047 with single coils and .022 with humbuckers. You can experiment around with them though and get the sounds you want.

^The best way to 'thank' someone is to add positive reputation to their profile. In this case, go to the post of the person you want to thank, look to the far left hand side of the page and underneath the 'Feedback Score' click on the pic of the 'justice scale' in order to add positive rep.

Hope that helps
