The bareknuckle warpig is possibly the be-all-and end-all of tone. IMO. The miracle man or nailbomb may be more what you are looking for though! I recommend them whole-heartedly!

Have any experience installing them in a Carvin? I'd love to experiment with those things, but they're a lot of money for something that will have to be hacked up to install, and I'd rather not be the guinea pig.

No. But i can find out. And considering it'd be a custom wound pup to your specs, you bet your dollar it'd be good. Sound fucking great in all the guitars that they go in at work. Seriously, call Tim at Bareknuckle - bloody great guy. I chatted to him for almost an hour about these things. He knows his stuff, and he is just a goddamn nice guy!

I put a Duncan Distortion in the bridge of my 747. Probably not the tone you are looking for. Definitely doesn't add more body to the sound, but gives a very nice voicing for spiky leads. I've considered changing it out, but it does what I need.

AsIAm666 is on a distinguished road
If/when I get the D-Sonic7, I'll most likely have it installed with the bar facing the neck, but if I dont like it that way, will I be able to just unscrew it and turn it around without any problems, so that the bar is facing the bridge? Thanks, Marc

As long as you drill the new mounting holes correctly then turning it around is no problem. Just remember that if you plan on using the pickup with another pickup in a blend setting that you will have to rewire it if you flip it due to phase issues (or use a phase switch).
