![]() ![]() ![]() | thank you v much but one more question as in a previous thread of how to fully condition a baord with lem oil i was told to pour the stuff on until it drenched the board would less bore oil do the same job??? because rich only uses 2 drops for every 5 frets and 10 towards the high end how much is the right amount |

i would just use enough to darken the grain of the wood so it doesnt look dry (unless its stained ebony lol) much more then that is just wasting it (but its cheap anyway so dont worry about it too much) | |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | The new D'andrea lemon oil (most guitar shops sell it) now comes with a cotton applicator built into the bottle. I'd suggest that. Also, don't go mad with the lemon oil; its much better to do many passes rather than saturate it in a oner. Yes, i know it is onerous, but by now you should know that the best results come from relentless monotony :agree: Otherwise just use a lint free colth. I have one quartered, each is stitched with "lemon on, lemon off, polish on, polish off" and it helps you prevent mixing lemon oil in when you are trying to take it off. Hope i help in some form. |

![]() ![]() | So do bore oil and lemon oil really make the fretboard feel nicer? I love ebony fretboards cause they're so smooth and pleasant to the touch. Would I have to apply any oil to keep them that way on the long run? Also, does applying oils to rosewood make it more ebonish? ![]() |
