The Line6 rage is great, but it's quite hard to use if you play live; Line6 have just released the Floor POD, which I think is the POD XT basically as a pedal.
It's not too pricey either and theres so much amps and effects on there, it's pretty hard not to find what your looking for. No doubt it's available from the normal, www.musiciansfriend.com, www.zzsounds.com.

IMO its far too much to pay for a distortion pedal. It seems ridiculously overpriced for an imitation of Kranks tube amps. I can see the point in the Damage Control stuff (the demonizer in particular ) but i cant help thinking you could do better good with that sorta money...

I was speaking to a member of staff of a guitar shop a few months ago and he said the Krank pedal through a JCM800 sounded amazing. They didn't sell Kranks at that store so he wasn't just trying to push products. I've been interested in them but i don't really need one.

They should have named it "Floor Spider", because that's what really is. The effects work like on the spider (...) And I assume that the amp models will be the same as well, from what I've seen at musicians friend.

If I want a floor pod, I'll buy a PODXT Live

Bigger price though, Vegeta seemed to be worried about how much he was spending, if you've got the money, by all means go for the XT Live.

+1 calling it a POD is a misnomer.

The best Krank sounds I heard is when two guitarists both played Krank amps. The dist. structure makes two guitars sound very heavy yet clear.

The Landmine and the Digitech Black 13 are pretty good high gain pedals. Haven't tried the Distortus yet.
