you could easily get a 3-way blade switch from stewmac.com or allparts.com or WD music products. Quote:
the simplest way to do it would be to copy your existing volume knob when you redo the tone knob. you'll have to desolder the tone capacitor. then take the hot wire from each humbucker [i think that's the red wire for DiMarzios?]. remove it from the 5-way switch and solder it to the volume knob [neck hot wire to neck vol knob and bridge hot wire to bridge vol knob]. then solder a new wire from the volume pot output back to the 5-way switch terminal where that hot wire used to be. so you're basically splicing in each volume pot between the pickup that it controls and its terminal on the 5-way switch. then the output of the 5-way goes straight to the output jack. | ||

![]() | yeah i did exactly that. now i wired it back to the original format accept i was to lazy to re wire in the tone pot, so now im just doing one master volume. Im really liking the tone i get from just that. it's alot more brighter. that's what i like. |
