D sonic 7 squeal (microphonic?)

dude, you couldnt be more right...i grabbed the pickup really tight and all the squealing went away!

Sounds like you need to firm up the mounting then. Pack a load of really dense foam under it.

this is a damn noisy pickup for sure, but it sounds great once u get a good noise gate on it, what surprised me is that the X2N 7 is noisy aswell , i remember the 6 string version being very quiet and amazing, maybe they botched up the 7 string version.

my 6 string x2n's are anything but quiet lol, i wouldn't say the x2n is quiet by any means, as hot as it is, its not gonna be either.

When you send in the pickup back to Dimarzio, do they pay for shipping or do you have to pay for it?
