![]() ![]() ![]() | EBMM JP7 trem question I'm hoping some users of the JP7 can advise me on something. I've been planning buying one of these for a while now, but another deal has cropped up to question my choice of guitar. What I'd like to know is how the trem performs, mainly does it have the range of Floyd Rose type extremities? I'm not a heavy trem user but I like having the option of extensive diving & pullups on my Ibanez 7s. I remember talk of this some time ago but I've searched through the forums to no avail. Much thanks in advance! |

The trem's block is very thick, and i find that when diving, it bumps the back of the cavity before i get to the level of string slack that you can get to with a Floyd. It's still extremely low and floppy, just not to the point where the strings make absolutely no sound at all. I don't pull up much, but i've read that it's similar. Great range, but not quite as huge as a Floyd. That said, it's a really sweet trem... extremely smooth, solid and comfortable, and i haven't had any issues with tuning with the graphite nut and locking tuners. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I haven't put mine to such an extreme test, but as far as flutter goes, about as smooth as any prisoner's fart ![]() "and we'll also be establishing, beyond all scientific doubt, that ANY note can be made to sound good over ANY chord, so long as you put it in the right place!" ![]() | I love the JP trem. While it's not as stable as a Lo-Pro I prefer the feel of it way more. It's really smooth and as long as you are not Steve Vai you'll be fine with it. What JP are you buying? ![]() -Freddie ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() | I was planning on a fully-loaded JP7, except for the inlays. I might get one anyway if this other deal falls through. Don't want to say anything yet though ![]() |
