I wouldn't say it's "harsh" in the neck by any means, but it's a great, crisp lead sound with absolutely phenominal attack. In fact, I vastly prefer the 707 in the neck to it in the bridge. One of the better pickups I've ever played for lead guitar.

The 707 on the neck absolutely blows, but I don't like it in the bridge for soloing... It's just a bit less creamy than the neck position, but not as brighter to make a big difference. I really like screaming leads on the bridge position, maybe some day I could get an 81-7

He was talking about the pickup being selected, he was saying that when Rusty was using the Neck pickup it sounded like the Bridge pickup.

A simple misunderstanding, fellas. Jason thought one thing, and 777 meant another. Personally, I thought you both handled it well - Jason, for being comical and honest (too often people ask stupid shit without searching), and 777 - misunderstood, and rightfully a bit indignant, but still respectful and restrained.
E-rep for you both. ![]() |
