What about covering your speaker cabinet with some good thick blankets? I have done this in the past.

Emiliano is just really niceEmiliano is just really nice
i was thinking about an isolation cab
but my room is very small
so i won't have place to add another cabinet

maybe i could build a cabinet to replace one of my mesa cab
that's a good idea

but

i heard that some times isolation cabinet can damage speaker

is that true?

If the walls impede the speaker cone too much. It has to have some volume and a lot of dampening material.

This was my solution to a similar problem:

And honestly, the tone wasn't too shabby either. Tough to find a sweet spot, as you only had to move it a tiny amount to get a HUGE change in tone, but it did work.

My

I had meant to add that it would be extremely easy to use this as a silent dummy load as well.
