considering i've been using lemon oil on my guitars for the good part of almost 10 years, and millions of other people around the world do as well, i don't see the problem.

Ken has disabled reputation
I've used Bore Oil (for woodwind instruments) for 20 years, and my frets are fine.

Yeah yeah yeah whatever. I read an article earlier this year by a luthier explaining all the debates and bullshit over what is good for your fretboard.

He ultimately said that it dosn't really matter and that you could use almost anything really.

Agreed. The best I've come across in 14 years is Eric's kit ( he's a member here) and the dunlop Fretboard oil.. Consistent, clean, and long lasting.

Acidic? You're not supposed to use lemon juice.

Mineral Oil or Bore Oil will work fine. Most "Lem-Oil" on the market is just mineral oil + scent(at least the good stuff is, IMO).

As for the corroding frets?
