![]() ![]() ![]() | ok originally i think my 1527 came with 9-42 with a .54 on the low b(d'addario) i then set it up with a d'addario 9-42 +.52 on the low b and got the bridge in perfect alignment so now i hate how floppy the low b is so i got a .56 gauge along with a GHS boomer 9's and was wondering as well as hacving to reset up the bridge+intonation will i have to adjust the truss for the thicker 56???? thanks ![]() Shredding Isn't Music..........Its Awesome!!! |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | if 56 is too floppy for you then you should try the gauge set I'm using. 9, 12, 16, 24, 32, 44, 60 they are a bit more expensive but you can make your own set of gauges. www.juststrings.com I paid 13.25 shipped for this set and I love it! ![]() just need intonation adjustment. Trussrod is only if the neck is all fuckered up. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Ibanez are pretty damn on the spot with intonation. The adjustment should be slight. You may want to try adding a shim under the locking nut. If the strings are too floppy you may want to loosen the truss rod just a little ( like a 1/4 of a turn ) this will put some tension on the strings thus tightening up your flopping issue. ~A Come sopra, dunque di sotto.
