String guage and tension?

Which guage are you useing???(and please write down your tuning and scale lenght)

I own only a Yamaha Pacifica whit 25.5' scale lenght in BEADGB tuning...well what can I say? Its shit... the strings are very floopy... but my friend says its ok... for him... he tuned down to C with a 9-10set!!!! But his guitar is 25.5' too but his string arent that floopy so I cant understand...

Soo I like hard string tansion... I thinking about my new guitar.... the two racers are the RG7321 and the Damien 7 . . . well I likw the Damien, becouse the 26.5 scale... more but its got EMGs so I can only upgrade them to 707's...but I dont like they're sound... soo, can I get hard tension with the RG7321? wich guage? or dont care about the EMG's?

i tune my yamaha CGCFAD but if your tuning seven string style just buy the top 6 that make up a seven string set. a set of sevenstring 10's generally goes 10-13-17-26-36-46-56, so buying a set of D'addario 13's should do nicely - nice and tight although i had to set up my guitar for them, the bridge was doing some crazy shit with that much tension!

^ I love how you correct only one of several misspellings.

I'm using 25.4" scale (645 mm) and B (rarely drop A) EADGBE tuning with these gauges: .059" .046" .034" .026" .015" .012" .009"

or 25.5" scale (648 mm) and EADGBEG tuning with these gauges: .046" .034" .026" .015" .012" .009" .006" (Thanks to Garry Goodman)

or 30" scale (762 mm) and FCGDFA with: .060" .050" .036" .024" .016" .013" (Yeah a little fucked up)

What hapens with my guitar? As I said I tune a 6 to B with a 12-56 string set... I feel them sometimes too floppy... but sometimes (like now) I feel them more harder, what hapend? . . . is it the heat? The neck moved or what?

Glory and praise to Thee, Satan, on high,
Where Thou didst reign, in Hell where Thou dost lie,
Vanquished, silent, dreaming eternally.
Grant that my soul some day rest close to Thee
Under the Tree of Knowledge which shall spread
Its branches like a Temple overhead.

I use EB 10's normally, although my 7's are strung with 11's right now. Not 100% on all the gauges, but however they come out of the 7-string pack.

My 7621 is 25.5" in Standard B tuning. My Damien 7 is 26.5" in Dropped A. My 7321's are also in Standard B, 25.5"

I am the mask you wear.

On my Yamaha extended-scale guitar (26.25" scale) I run gauges 11, 16, 26, 36, 46, and 56 in either C or Drop Bflat tuning, and the tension feels about the same as a normal set of tens in Eflat (which is what I have on my seven string (25.5" scale). My Les Paul usually has a normal 10-52 gauge set on it and is currently in D, although I'll probably bump the gauges up next time I change the strings. My Jackson (25.5" scale) is in E for teaching, and is 9-46. My Dean semi is usually in some wierd open tuning (currently Open Bflat ) and is 11-52 with a wound G. My fretless is in Drop C# and has a set of flatwound 12s. My acoustic is currently in Open G down a half step, and has the same 11-52 gauges as the Dean.

Dreaming in infared...
