Fret Problem!!!

hey,

recently discovered the guitar i bought have a problem with the fretboard(at least that's wat i think it is.)
refering to the picture.

whenever i press down on fret 17 and above on the E string, the string touches the pickup ring.
i tried makeing the action higher but still doesn't solve the problem.
Anyone experience this kind of problem with the guitar b4?
do i need to send to a guitar tech to fix it?

thanks!

Is this a new problem? It sounds like something warped somewhere. You could always try to file down the pup ring at the bottom where it touches the pick guard...or you could cut out the pick guard so the ring actually contacts the wood (unless it already is.) Or you could ditch the ring all together. But from the pic it looks like something is askew.

is this wat u call a warped neck?
looking from the headstock down... the left side of the fretboard seems to be lower than the right(even lower than the pickup ring), is that normal?

the pickup ring is not screwed over the pickguard i think(refer to picture)

i can push the pick ring down a bit to make it ok but it won't stay down. Maybe i need to file it down like Dive-Baum said or maybe glue it down but hope there's other alternative?
just notice the last fret is too high.

is it a lot of work needed to raise/bend the fretboard? Is that even posible?

What make of guitar is this? 'cause if the treble side is lower than the bass side the whole way down, it seems like the fretboard wasn't square, and then the radiusing wasn't done evenly. You could shim the treble side (I think), or try screwing the pickup ring further down. filing it down mightn't work, cause the string could foul against the pickup its self, and it'd've wasted a good pickup rign (if theres such a thing)

If you can push the ring down, then try tightening the screw on the treble side. Otherwise the ring is buckling up (warped) so a new (perhaps shorter) ring is the fix.

If you're handy with a dremel, or have access to a belt sander, you can probably file a few mm off of the backside.
