usagi has a spectacular aura about
D sonic in the neck

I just got my d sonic installed in the neck of my RG7621. The bad news is for some reason it sits really high. I don't know if it's possible to dremel the space out a bit so it fits better. Anyhow it sounds decent. I'm sure it would sound bitter if it got lowered a tad. My soundclick space has a clip with it. I played the riffs with the D sonic and then with the bridge Blaze.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that it's the one called "dsonic test"

Nah. So, do you think it sounds muddy? I'm going to ask the guy who installed it to lower it a little bit, which will probably involve cutting out some of the wood,

You can always flip it around too, that'll change the sound a bit.

The problem is how close the pup is to the neck. At some points the the string will hit the pup when you play (only a few and not consistently). I know it was set down as far as it would go. I like the tone. I think it would be better if it was set down a bit.

Sounds kinda muddy, dunno if it's the way you recorded it or just that you were playing the rythym with the neck pickup though.

My recording setup is mega cheap so it has something to do with it. I have a Duncan Distortion in the neck of my RG1570 and its not muddy at all.
