Dumbest Guitar/ Technical Moment?

Maybe I am the only one, but I will fess up to my most embarrassing guitar/technical moment.

When I purchased my guitar....the guy at the guitar store asked me.... "So do you have a rack already? what's the set up? "

My mouth dropped in shock. I had no idea what exactly a rack was until..... well.... I was shown one. I actaully thought he was asking me about 'my' rack..... that was my embarrassing guitar/technical moment. Now that I have learned the lingo and know the meaning behind it, I feel alot confident asking about 'racks.' Oh well...

So fess up, what's your's? Can't be any worse then mine.

Taking advise from someone that the saddles should all be inline with each other, not staggered as they were. Hey, I was 16 and dumb, and it was a long time before I did anything serious towards learning to play as well. As in I got that guitar for my 16th birthday intending to teach myself, gave up and it sat there for 4 years until I decided to get lessons. How I regreat that now.

Declaring the first Floyd Rose I saw was an excuse to charge a lot for something that wouldn't work.

How wrong I was. Of course, I was 14 or something at the time...

When I first started playing I used to tune my B string up a half step. "Fifth fret = open on the next string, all the way up!"

While I still don't want tubes, I also bought a fucking AX2 212 back in the day. Good LORD did that thing suck massively.
