gaunten is a jewel in the rough
NPD! question though..

so, got my blaze today, no pics though, but I'm getting the guitar to the shop tomorrow, so they can change it for me (no tech meself)
I'll try to take some pics if yall are interrested.
anyways, I got it used from some guy who had it in his ibanez or something, and on the box it says "DP755BK, tone zone 7, Black"
and I thought that was a little odd, but when I checked dimarzios page, the tonezone doesn't look at all like this pickup, and the blaze looks exactly like this one
question is, have they always looked like this?

the only number I can find on the pickup itself is 2205, and DP702.

Lilarcor will become famous soon enough
If it is says DP702 on the back of the pickup, it's a Blaze Bridge. Dimarzio has numbers for all their pickups. DP702 stands for Blaze Bridge, DP755 for Tone Zone 7 and so on.
I guess the one you bought it from just put it in the box of a Tone Zone 7.
