Would this pickup be a direct replacement??

Hi all, I'd like to know if this PickupBuy Seymour Duncan JB Model 7-String Pickup online at Musician's Friend would directly replace the New 7's on my 7621.
Thanx

Not directly. Seymour Duncans tend to come with square tabs as opposed to the 7621's triangle tab routes. You'll have to do some work on the p/up tabs or route the guitar.

If you trim the tabs on the pickup you should be just fine.

Well, the dimarzios' tabs are also flat, whereas the Duncans' tabs raise the pickup up a little.

You can call Seymour duncan and get a Flat baseplate! It called "floor custom shop" and it's free. And you get the PU through Musicians Friends.
Don't e-mail them.Call them.
Cheers!
