Wiring question! Need help.
I have a Dean ML 79 with three humbuckers. I don't use the middle pickup at all.
I'm just wondering if it's possible to wire it like an ibanez so that the middle position on the 3-way switch would be like the second position on the 5-way switch on the rg1527. I mean like this: |

yes you will need to use this switch and wire it with the humbucker leads on the two outer positions and the tap wires in the middle position.
Each guitarist has an evil fat 40 year old blueswankler trying to get out, If you give in to temptation you'll be sitting next to a fender playing john lee hooker while trying to keep your combover in place. - Desecrated

Hmm. That switch will not fit in the guitar. It has a toggle switch. A long one.

You need Dimarzio Part #EP1111 LP styled 3 way switch, & wire it like this.
It's the same switch as used on the EBMM JPM's. You can find it many places online, for about $26.00 + shipping. ![]()

If you're going to use Duncans with this wiring, just be aware of the difference in color schemes on the pickups & compensate accordingly. |
