if they are coming friday, just wait for the blackouts and install those, no need putting something else in the neck

Reverse Headstocks or Bust

Usually people either go with a pair of 707s, or match up a 707 in the neck with an 81-7 in the bridge for a good metal combo.

You may also consider the 60-7 in the neck position if you're looking for more moderate gain and a brighter tone. There's also the new 707TW if you like the option of a single-coil tone in the neck position.

Did you have any troubles fitting them, depth wise?

Jetzt liegst du hier, ganz regungslos, in meiner hand und meinem schoß, du bist so kalt...

depth, i had to trim around the ears of the pickup routing and about 1/8" in depth.

the 707 is for my other s7420 i am considering a 707 or 60 7 for the neck pick up but i know i love the 707 in the bridge.

the other s7420 will have both blackouts in them.

Gotcha. Id say either another 707 or a 60-7.
I personally adore the 60-7 in both positions, but dont tell jason i said that.

well i never tried any other 7 string active, just the emg 707 and it sounds great even when i put it in the clean channel it has a distortion on it that is good too. will putting a 707 or 60-7 in the neck clear the distortion for some clean warm leads. thanks max for your thoughts

An Ibanez with a 707 through a Flextone II head.

Nice.

7StringofAblicK-This is my footswitch. it changes channels on my amp - just like on a television, but I only have four channels.
