To be or not to be...Blazes?

I was looking for blazes at ebay and I've found this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Ibanez-7620-Univ...QQcmdZViewItem

Are they real blazes? It says "7620 and Universe" and we know that it's not the same pickup... I guess that real dimarzio have black mountings instead of brass ones. Can someone help?

Sadly, some are not, and it's a common misconception that 7620's came with Blazes. If they go for $25 that's cool, but I'm sure some idiot will bid more than they're worth, by rather a lot.

As an aside, I don't like this recent trend of parting out 7620's on e-bay. Every time someone does that, that's one less used 7 on the market, and costs go up...

yeah, I see what you mean. The 1527's went from $750 to $820... and all the other ibanez guitars jumped proportionally up. All the amp manufactuers raised their prices too.

That has more to do with the plummeting value of the US dollar, thanks to the absolutely asinine economic policies of our current administration...
