A night of soldering/tinkering awaits....
Current todo list:
- New pickups courtesy of some bloke in devon need to be attached to one 1077. Something to do with nudity and part of the hand. I dunno. I hope they're not too shabby ![]() - Maybe even use a few of those push pull pots I have to further do wrong stuff with the bareknuckles. - Maybe restring the 1077, could do with a lighter gauge on it as although it's nice, the tension is slight overkill. - 540s7 needs a new switch, rewiring and finally finding out whether the bridge pickup is fried or not. - 540s7 needs intonating. I hate this job, but will have to do it. Come to think of it, there's about 3 guitars that need intonating. I hate intonating, maybe I can train the dogs to do it for me? - A friends guitar needs rewiring (I think) well, there's something wrong with it anyway. - Figure out why the amp rig is being gay. See if new tubes will solve it, if not, scream... - Figure out why a friends pedal board wouldn't produce a signal at a gig he played - And, if time, screw around with a few different amps that happen to be cluttering up my hallway (6505 and some orange combo thing, any case, never really spent much time with either and although I know I won't like the orange combo thing, the 6505 will be fun) Just need to remember not to sit there and go off on a tangent, and I should be able to finish it all! It's kind of that I've let a lot of this stuff pile up over the past few weeks, so I may as well get it all out of the way... Who else has nights like these where they just have a crapload of guitar maintenance to do?

Yep, got the BKP's. Was thinking of a picstory, but I'd probably suck at making it, and secondly have too much to do! (That and noone wants to see my ugly mug, especially if they're eating/have just eaten)
So yeah, I may even see if i can squeeze in some quick comparisons. Although to be fair, they are going into a baritone, so they will sound snappier than they would in a 25.5" guitar, but I'll still see if i can record some shockingly bad riffage ![]() But the soldering and hate jobs have to come first, as otherwise they'll never get done!

I am actually trying really hard to resist the temptation to open the package at work. Instead it is an excercise in willpower to wait till i get home! May just have to leave work early though...

![]() Fucking tell me about it dude. The other night I had to remove the pups from my Jackson RX10D that I was selling, restring and setup for E-E in 9's from a blocked off trem with 10-52's in B-C#, restring and rewirse my Charvel, reintonate everything. Intonating Floyds FTL. ![]() What pups did you get? The cryptic name has me stumped.

Well, put the bareknuckles in, and wow, dunno what to think. It's not bad, it's just really different. They remind me of seymour duncans in a way, but kind of imagine the power of a humbucker with this overtone of a single coil in terms of clarity. Witht eh 1077 being a baritone, it is just really cool!
Also discovered the switch in the 540s7 is fuxx0red which is a relief. Time to put a vlx91 in, which is my quest for tomorrow! Apart from that, the rest of the list still stands :s *sigh* well, there's always tomorrow!

Yeah I know how ya feel, 7DT. I gotta restring, set up, and intonate all 3 of my sixes, but after I:
-Fix the neck on my flying V (fretboard's coming loose at the nut and the tuners keep falling out of their holes) -Resolder the bridge humbucker in my Squier superstrat (It sounds split) and change its input jack -Give my LTD a fret-polishing and replace its input jack as well I'm just glad I got my 7 up and running again. ![]() Clips of the 1077 maybe?

I regularly have nights like this, mainly as I'm really good at just putting any guitar that needs work doing back in its case and playing a different one, until I have no choice but to get them all out and do whatever needs to be done. It sucks. Badly.

I may just have to, but not this evening, just too late now! Have to fix one wiring mistake tomorrow though, as I forgot to wire the 3rd lip of the volume pot to ground. (D'oh!) so the volume control just doesn't work
Apart from that I have to fix the S and a mate's guitar tomorrow, so that'll keep me busy with the solder

I would be smartass and say that it sounds rough all condescending like, but I know the feeling of having too much on your plate. I love the hell out of guitar maintenence (has always loved mechanical items and the innerworkings), and if I had a workbench of a decent nature, I would love to do electronic4lz, but the kitchen in my smaller apartment doesn't stand too well for it.
And you have $3k of amps "cluttering" your hallway Are they yours?

Seeing as i got rid of the huge CRT monitors i had, i now have a workbench of sorts which is nice, although it's still pretty crowded! And yeah, there is a large amount of amps and heads in my hallway... Only one is mine though (that being the JSX)...Quote:
