So i go to the local music store to buy some strings ended up getting 10's and didnt get around to changing them till today and the high b is missing wtf

what ever happend to quality control so now i cant play and have to wait till tomorow to get a new set needless to say it wont be d'addario

FTR, Daddario only very rarely have QC issues, I'm sure this doesn't happen often.

Only heard of such occurances with sets of separately packaged strings. and that was because someone nicked a few strings from here and there.

But isn't asking too much to relax a little bit and take it all in perspective. In the grand scheme of things, what does it matter?

How many times have you ever of this happening? This is the first for me, and I've sold them for almost 3 years.

Yet some people don't know how to boil water...

But I used D'addario plenty of times on my trem equipped guitars (They have great tuning stability!) and I never once gotten a botched package.

It's only a minor mistake I guess, I wouldn't ditch them because of it. I'd write them a friendly letter and get them to send me a free set.

It can feel like a big deal.. especially if you are piss poor like myself, and jsut spent a great bunch of money on strings.. Or if you have been itching with anticipation to play the whole day, and just have to wait untill stores open.

that's right, it's probably a machine's job. and when something gets a little fucked up at the beginning of a machine line, it only gets worse at the end.

i'm thinking, maybe a string jammed into something, and they had to shut the line down to fix it. maybe a pack or two made it through QC with a missing string or two.

It was chewed and spit into.

I still use D'Addarios.

Yeah, I was missing a string from a 7 string pack once. Not a huge deal, I just went back to the store (I worked there) and exchanged the pack

Write D’Addario a letter. They may send you free strings.

My dad does crap like that all the time, and always gets free shit…Nike shoes ( for being shitty ), Pepsi products ( for getting an empty can in a 24 pack)..et cetera.
