Anybody know how to wire up a killswitch?

I've wanted a killswitch on my RG7321 for some time, but I've been getting conflicting info on how to do it.

Some people have said I just need to interupt the "hot" signal, others say I need to short the hot to ground. Anyone able to give me a definitive answer on this?

I could be wrong, but I would assume the easiest place to put a killswitch would be right before the output.

Short hot to ground to avoid interference. And Vince is right, the best place is right on the output.

Thanks guys. I'd worked out it had to be on the output, I just wasn't sure of the best way to wire it to avoid interference.
