Ok, when my body comes for my sevenstring, i'll have everything I need and will just need to put it all together. So, since my pickups are going to be mounted onto the pickguard, I might aswell get some of the connections done now. It is H-S-H config, and it's 3 blaze pickups, so im going by this ibanez diagram. http://ibanez.com/wiring/wire.asp?y=2004&w=UV777P I have the same switch so I know this is the way for me to wire it up. Now I have a couple questions.
1. When there are 2 or 3 dots (solder marks) in line on the selecter, connected to each other, do I just solder right across in a line on those spots?
2. On the tone knob, there is wire soldered onto the base itself as far as I can tell. Is that how its soldered?
3. What other wiring configs can I use that are maybe more open? Without having to replace any hardware.

Scott,
1. Yes, they are bridged connections.
2. Yes, both the vol and tone have their bodies connected to ground.
3. Do you have the OTAX switch in the diagram? It's a 4-pole switch. They can be fiddly to work on. If you're not experienced you may want to have someone else do it.
The pot grounding and trem claw (if you have one) need a pretty decent soldering iron to get the heat on and off quickly.
Any DiMarzio HSH wiring diagrams will do the trick, try dimarzio.com
The 330pf cap on the vol is optional - it's a high pass filter that lets the very high frequencies bypass the pot.

Great Thanks for the info. Yeah I do have the OTAX switch and unfortunately there isn't anyone around that can do this for me. I'm going out of town tomorrow so i'll go to a musicstore and see if they have a different selector available. I still need to wait for my guitar body to come so I still have some time to gather any help I may need.
