What will this sound like?

I've justbought a 7 string Epiphone V... hence why i need to buy some new pickups

I have an Ibanez SZ320 6 string with a DP207 pickup in it, i was thinking of getting the 7 string version but would the fact this V is made from a different would heavily influence the sound? What do you suggest? has anyone else modded one of these?

Get a Seymour Duncan Jazz-7 for the neck, and Custom-7 for the bridge. The Jazz is pretty much the perfect neck pickup, and the Custom just crushes in mahogany.

also, check the little "tone guides" on DiMarzio's website, if you want to go DiMarzio. if you want to go SD, Noodles knows his beans.

Um, which Dimarzion s the DP207? They have names too.

Drop Sonic. If you take a look at the website and click a couple of names you soon find out

The PAF7 works very well in mahogany for both positions. Avoid the Tone Zone 7 like the plague, it's the worst aftermarket pickup I've tried in mahogany.

Im going for the Evo 7 in the bridge i think... neck one will arrive when i have the cash

Edit: I just ordered the Evo 7 and i cant wait to throw this Epi piece in the bin
