Blackouts installed in 2027 (*14.4k don't even bother)

So I finally got some pics of the 2027 after setting it up with Blackouts. The wiring wasn't that bad and I got the wiring schematic here somewhere. The key was to get EMG pots as they are direct replacements for the IBZ ones. It's currently setup with Daddarios 9.5-56. These pups are really sweet. Wish I hadn't held out this long to try them out. All I can say is BOs are very very passive sounding and very rich and much more organic sounding than EMGs.

Here are some pics in the warm sun that just came out of the clouds about half an hour ago.

EDIT: Nov23/09
Recorded an 80s Classic by White Snake - Still of the Night. My rendition of it - solo blows as I totally winged it.
The amp is a '68 Marshall JMP Boosted with a TS7 and off course my blackouts.

I had EMGs in that guitar before and BOs just sound better with that wood combination and this model. I still love the sound of 707, they are just different.

I like that top on your 2027X djpharoah

Very versatile and man this 2027 sounds amazing. Everything is now tighter on the bridge pup, the neck is smooth as like a 59 or Jazz and their gain is pretty much controlled by my "volume" pot.

I always thought that myself... like a 59 and JB/SH6 hybrid on steroids. They look like they always belonged in that guitar... great job on the install! The bridge isn't too shrill with the tremolo is it? I have that problem with DiMarzios at times, versus a string through.

Yeah it sounds like a very over the top 59 which is awesome. The bridge is like a nice 6 String Duncan Custom or 80s JB.

I definitely dig that less compressed nature of the BOs compared to EMGs, especially since I'm not a strict metal player either.

I'm still on the pickup hunt for my 2027. I'm thinking blackouts too, or perhaps Bareknuckles. This guitar is going to scream with my new head

Thanks - SD did a great job with these pups. They are really a great innovation. Now I'll wait till they release a coil tappable neck pickup for those great single coil leads.

Nope - I'm running a separate 9V for both circuits. The two circuits (piezo & mag) are very separate - they only interact with each other with the 2/3 way switch. The pots that need to be replaced at the normal volume and tone pot. I replaced them with EMG sized 25k pots vs the SD sized ones as those have a larger outer diameter. If you need any help etc hit me up.

Sweet Matt - they are sick. Think this is my best and thickest tone yet from a 7. The mahogany and BOs just vibe really well.

They are great for bluesy tones when properly dialed in and great hard rock tones too.

Just a cheezy 80s White Snake rendition/cover of mine of their song Still of the Night.
