Hey,guys of sevenstring.org
Just to sart off. I don't want to offend anybody by doing this. This is something from God to you all if you want it. I'm making this thread to tell all of you that. I'm here not to just to talk about guitars and music. I want to share the Gospel with those who want to know about it. Make note that I'm not forcing this on anybody or wanting to hurt anybody. I just felt called to do it. So what I'm saying is. Is that any of you have any questions about God or any prayer request. Just message me. I'm willing to help and pray for you. I don't care who you are or if your any other religion or not religous at all. I just want to be there to help and share the Gospel.

Gonna have to agree with this guy. While there are surely all different types on here so far as religion/philosophy goes... it's basically a forum populated by intellectual metalheads, which is going to lean towards a lot of atheism and agnosticism, or at the least very progressive and resolved views of spiritually, etc.

I really didn't want to get into this..but...here I go

If God told you to do this, than he should have told you this topic would lead to discussion. Then again it doesn't take a deity to figure that one out.

Not to mention I'm not exactly sure why you feel more qualified than someone else to discuss the bible, and why you think your prayers get heard over someone else's. I think the idea..as an idea...is a noble one, but this isn't the place, and you should really think about whether or not you're the perfect candidate. The people who are the first to offer insight on God..are often the people who never met him.

Not meaning to offend you in anyway, but the actual chance of you getting a reply not involving discussion (ie someone actually asking you to pray for them) is pretty much as close to zero as you can imagine. You are clearly confusing belief with knowledge. No matter how fervently you believe a thing, it is not the same as knowing a thing. It is an absolute fact there are billions of people who have a different view of God than you do, and I guarantee you that many of them believe (or think they know) as fervently as you do.

You may BELIEVE in your heart of heart, blah, blah, blah... but it is not something you can know.

I'm strictly bible thats what I believe. What ever goes against the bible is wrong. what do you believe?

I appreciate that. That's what this thread was mainly for. I know I said it wasn't for discussing but it is.

Ah, but the bible has been written and re-written, translated and retranslated. Old testiment or new? Who's bible? The "bible" can be interpreted in almost any way you wish. So I have no idea what you believe. Don't worry - it's ok that way.

Okay, seriously buddy, you need to stop and take a step back right now. As one Christian to another, observing the people here, rampant evangelism will not help your cause in this place. You will get torn to shreds by the resident atheists, you will weaken the credibility of anyone who shares your faith, and when they're done with you, you will likely question your own beliefs. God does not send people out into the world so blindly, and when it does occur, it is NOT of God. Acting on faith is one thing, throwing yourselves to the wolves is quite another. There is a reason I do not evangelize here, and that is because I am not qualified to speak here, nor do I have that particular gift. When it comes up, I refer to my own experience and ask people to take from it what they will, and no more. If any serious discussion is going to take place (and believe me, this forum will reject anything that isn't an absolutely serious discussion), someone is required with a strong background in theology, hermeneutics and biblical exegesis. That isn't me, and I'm guessing that's not you either.

I do not mean to stifle you, but for your own good, put on the brakes.
