Hmm, wedding or Red Sox

Just got a wedding invitation from my uncle - he's getting married May 16, and we have Red Sox tickets for the game that day

I feel that he should have sent a 'save the date' card, as most people do, to prevent scheduling conflicts. However, I also feel like I shouldn't skip a wedding for a baseball game. What would you do?

I would go to the Red Sox game. But then again, I love the Sox, and I hate weddings, so that's an easy one.

I hate baseball and weddings. Were it a football game though I would abandon ship on the wedding in a heartbeat.

Metal gig maybe, but I'd stick to the wedding. I'm not a big sports man (except downhill racing) and you really should go to show your respect at least

I didn't go to my cousins wedding because:

a) He's a knob
b) He accused me of being a drug-addict at my aunt's funeral even thought it was the first time we had ever met and he had no grounds to

c) It was a stuffy affair with a full Catholic mass and a reception without an open bar.

So yeah, do you like your Uncle more than the Sox?

Or, go to the game, skip the wedding, and show up for the reception. Make sure to say how beautiful the wedding was, so that they think you were there the whole time.

I'm not going to go all girly here, but the wedding everytime. Red Sox tickets would sell a bomb when they're all sold out and I agree You get free food, drink and hugs at weddings! No contest. I agree with Ramsay - Red Sox will come again and can be recorded.

That was my thought. Why sit through the boring part, and then skip out on the fun part? I've been trying to tell my fiance that we need a five minute ceremony, at the reception, dress down.
