Jesus Christ, I'm in agony!
Holy shit guys... This is ....ing unreal.
I woke up on Sunday with the worst headache I've had in my life, and serious pains right up my nose. Sinus preasure, I believe it is. Since then, it hasn't gone away at all, and I'm taking painkillers, which help a little, but I don't want to take too many of them because they can't be good for you if you overdo it. The pain really is something else, it feels like my head is being squashed, aswell as the pain up my nose, which feels like it's stinging me right behind the eyes. It also feels like it's moving around. A moment ago, my sinuses stopped hurting and the pain moved to my left ear and got very sharp indeed. All the time, my head just won't stop hurting. I was sick all last week with a very nasty cold that's been going around, so I think it's probably something to do with that, or maybe it's BRAIN PARASITES!!! Either way, there's nothing I can do now but grin and bear it untill the doctor's office opens in a few hours. Ranting about it helps a bit. If painkillers aren't helping, I guess holding out is about the best you can do. Hope they get it figured out and that you feel better soon

It sounds like it's time for good old "sucking gooey stuff out from your head"
I've had blocked and mildly infected sinuses, but never had pain of such epic measures. Hang in there, man. Born to lose - live to win |

I've not been well at all recently. Totally lost my appetite too, and dropped over a stone in weight (That's a lot) and pretty much had no energy at all for nearly 2 weeks now. Not letting that get in the way though, just a good old practice on my UV there, despite the excrutiating pain. "Does the brain control you or are you controlling the brain? For infected sinuses try this.
Boil hot water and put in a small bit of Vicks Vapor Rub. This stuff will evaporate and vaporize. What you have to do is then take it off the stove and put your head over the pot while the vapors are still leaving it. Do this this with a towel over your head to maximize the concentration going into your head. I did this once and wow it relly helped. |

In the military hospital, they actually used a vacuum pump thingy to take specimen from a chosen few.. they said it felt like their brain were being sucked out, and they felt their eyes were being sucked into their head.
As for me, I've only once been threatened with it, and I never had to go through it, as I went to the doc early and got some nice pills. I had one hell of a hay fever, but the sinuses weren't blocked up too bad. I'm not sure if they actually remove stuff with a needle and a syringe as well.. I suppose they could if it's liquid enough. Oh, and the vapour breath thingy really works. Or a nice sauna. Born to lose - live to win |

You don't have to have smelly stuff in the vapour, but it enhances the effect. Sometimes a hot shower gives you enough vapour to beathe easier.

Yeah, had a shower earlier and did feel much better after it. But the Vicks inhaler definetly helped too, I'm going to keep taking hits off of that untill the doc's are open.

A neat thing to try is buying some vicks blue or whatever they sell there for sore throats and such and toss a few of them into boiling water, and then breathing the vapours. I think I've been told to do it as a kid, but it was candy with eucalyptus oil, thus resulting in eucalyptus vapours.
this is turning int vapour breathing 101..but it really has worked for me in da past. Born to lose - live to win |

Hmmm, hangover + already having a headache would suck. Hey, at least you know that things can only get better from there!

Just stay self medicated, if you're drunk you won't really care as much. There's always the added off chance of waking up beside some chick and vaguely remembering some sweet sweaty love happening.

Hah, no way am I drinking beer right now. It's not the hangover, but there's yeast in beer, which would really .... with my sinuses in a big way. I probably shouldn't have had that yogurt drink either, dairy ain't good for nasal problems.
Oh yeah, and alcohol + painkillers? I draw the line at alcohol + sleeping tablets.

Eustachian tube disorder?
Whether it's laughable or irrational, this is the path that ALL great men walk! If there's a wall in our way, we'll destroy it! If there's no road, we'll pave it with our own hands! The magma in our hearts is blazing like flames! Who the hell do you think we are? |

Jumping off a balcony is SO much faster.
If I ever killed myself, I'd do something cool. Like jump off a tall building and blow myself with dynamite in mid-air. Preferrably with a napalm bomb, though. Born to lose - live to win |
